Can't uninstall GTR !!!
 

Can anyone help me with removing my old GTR installation completely?

I've just bought the game, but it can't run since the old key I used still somehow is in the system. Please advise....

so let me get this correct, you have just bought the game but the version you used to have is still in the system? Is that what you are saying?

Yes, thats what i'm saying. I got the files here from gcw, but never got it to work. But somehow the uninstallation didn't remove the old key :(...

Try looking in the registry.

Goto START> RUN >Regedit

In new window, browse to the following

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
(GAME PUBLISHERS NAME or GAME NAME)

Perhaps in there you will find the old key, just delete the entry or the Game's entry completely not the whole HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or SOFTWARE one :P

Or delete the old game folder, and check your My Documents folder incase anything there was left behind.

use "regedit" in command line

delete in windows reg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\SBDT AB (there is the CD-key)

hmmm now we have yet another 'Monty Burns'!! That makes 3 here at Fileforums! Ahh but the 'Old and Wierd' one will always be the only 'One'! :D

But hes one of the few, who actually bought a copy from a store, so im sure hes allowed a bit of leeway somewhat :)
