Just put your original disc in the drive, it's a LOT LESS HASSLE!

Instead of using those patches, just run Starfock v0.82.

I dont have the game myself but im wondering if you are describing you have a nocd/fixed exe for this game ? Did you D/L a crack from GCW to allow playing without original disk ?. Are you telling us you dont know how to apply/where to put a nocd ?

Why donīt you read the nfo?

In the patch folder there are 3 files.
Run sfdrvrem.exe but do not reboot yet.
Then run sfdrvup.exe which will give you an error 1072.
Finally run the sfdrvpatch.exe on the file located in
Windows/System32/Drivers.Should tell you it is cracked.
Now reboot.

Click game icon and again it will ask to to reboot to install
protection system.(Bah)

Finally download Starforce nightmare from h+tp://starf.bestmedia.kiev.ua/.
Run the SFNightmare.exe and(a) disable cd (b) disable node and (c)
disable ch2(depending on what IDE cable your cd drives are on).
Ensure game is mounted and try to play.
Game should check disk and play.

I have tested with the image in alcohol virtual drive! It works fine, but you need a good DPM!

alrite this is wat i did.
I installed the game with the original cd, then d/l the crack of gcw. it told me i needed to make an image of the cd using alcohol 120%. i did that, now ive got a image of the cd which i can install the game from as well. i used that sfdvrem.exe then i used the sfdvrup.exe (or something like that) and it gave me an error... all good. I restartd the computer and i looked in the c:\windows\system32\drivers folder for that bloody crack file that those programs install for you. i then used that other program that cracks that file but i cant find that file... understand!?!?! in a thread, i read u need that starfock v0.82 or install it using daemon tools 3.47. looking back now, im not that much of a beginner but i do have twuble sumtimz. thanx :)

Hello, I've got a weird and annoying thing with Second Sight.

I've got the game in original. I installed it and played it. When a no-cd was released, I used the no-cd and I finished the game. It worked beautifully and without a glitch with and without the no-cd. Then I uninstalled the game (naturally) and put it on the shelf.

Months passed. My harddrive got fried so I uninstalled Windows XP and also upgraded to Service Pack 2. Then I installed Second Sight again to replay the game. I applied the no-cd. The game starts and the logo's run and right after the logo's it freezes. It freezes when those small square boxes go up on screen, indicating loading. It just freezes and doesn't do anything more.

I naturally thought it was because of the no-cd. So I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it from my original and played it from the original. SAME THING happened! It froze while loading! So I looked around GCW and found another way to bypass protection, the one with the 3 files and SF Nightmare. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled the game followed the instructions. SAME THING. The logo's ran and then the game froze.

It's to late to take the game back or to do anything else about it so I just left it alone, annoyed as hell!

Yesterday, I don't know why I decided to give it another try. So I installed and used the no-cd and started the game up. Same thing, it froze right after the logo's. By this time I was tired as a dog so I fell asleep in front of the computer. When I woke up a few hours later, my computer had gone to the desktop and Second Sight ran in the background. Instead of turning everything off and going to sleep, I clicked the Second Sight tab and... WO AND BEHOLD. I was at the menu! Sound ran, graphics looked good, mouse was smooth. So I set my graphic options, the control and the sound, named a profile and chose to start a new scene... guess what? It FROZE AT THE LOAD!

Now I'm at a loss here, I've never had a game acting like this before. What am I to do? Anyone know?

Its quite possible you dont have your motherboards IDE drivers installed, and or the graphic card drivers (your using Microsofts default ones)

dalver 18-10-2005 02:19

All drivers (that I am aware of) are up to date and I'm not using the Windows default ones.

I do play other games, without problems. Psi-Ops for example which I got at the same time as Second Sight, which is also a Starforce protected game, works like a charm. It works as well with the original cd and with the crack.

And keep in mind that last night when I slumbered and woke to the Second Sight menu... which points to it working but... yet NOT working because it freezes...

New Hard Disk yes?

Hopefully your not using the same drive that died on you?
