Request for Project Snowblind CD Fix

I need a No CD fix for project snowblind please. I waited 2 weeks. Thanks

There simply isn't one available at the moment mate.
Bloody thing runs like a slideshow on my P4 2.66, 1Gb Ram, X800XT PE rig, so I'm looking out for a nocd too in case it makes it playable for me. That or a patch from the developers. :(

Try a different set of Catalyst drivers. nVIDIA cards had a similar symptom as your when the game was run with the 71.84 drivers. In order to get normal framerates, I changed my drivers to the 76.41 beta set.

For ATI cards, you could try an older set and see what happens.

66.93

I had the same slideshow on my P4 2.4 with a FX5700 and 1gig ram until I changed the drivers to 66.93

I was addressing my comment to the person who was suffering from the ultra-slow playrate.

As for the No-CD, it isn't out yet so play with your original till then.

As soon as there's a generic crack for SecuROM 7, there will be a no-cd fix for Project Snowblind. Patience.

:) :)

Also does Snowblind require a cd key. I didn't see one in the case.

Project Snowblind NoCD fix

Burn the game with Blindwrite 5.2,
then you don't need a nocd fix to play the game

Eh? If you own the original you would have installed and seen if it needed one or not.

Ahhhh but this not true. When burning a game with blindwrite or clonecd etc etc a 1.1 copy need's to be made in order to be able to play without a crack/fixed exe (providing its protected in the 1st place of course). And as im sure some of you are aware a 1.1 copy isnt only software related its hardware related to so AThumbTack would of been right in what he said. As would Thc + Optimummind because they obviously made 1.1 backup's for their perticular drives. Dont be so quick to say some-one is wrong unless you are extremley rarely wrong yourself which is extremley rare in its self :p

If for some reason you can't make a 1:1 try this.

Use regedit.

Go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Then SYSTEM
Look for a listing that says MountedDevices
Right click and choose PERMISSIONS
Highlight Administrators on the top box then look for the listing on the bottom box that says READ.
Now place a check mark in the DENY box on the READ line.
Hit APPLY, then OK and you're done.

Works for Project: Snowblind no problem and it uses SR7. What is does is deny Safedisk access to the CD/DVD to verify, so SD assumes your copy is legit and the game starts.

Just remember to always make a backup of your registry before making any changes. I have not had one single issue.

Sorry this works if you have backup or image of your game in your CD/DVD drive or virutal Drive. Forgot about that.

dantivirus: tried this just now to no avail. even tried checking deny/read on each and every item under Mounted Devices. Am I missing something? It doesn't seem to make a difference; still detecting emu.
