When i go to the Second Sight - GameCopyworld-Site i can see the instructions:

Create a CD-Image file from your original Game CD using Alcohol 120%.
Follow the instructions which are inside the File Archive.
Play the Game!

And inside the file archive are also instructions (in the file carbon.nfo):

STEP 1:Unpack and install game mounted on newest daemon tools.Start game:
Game will then ask you to reboot to install the protection system.
Do as asked and reboot.

STEP 2:In the patch folder there are 3 files.
Run sfdrvrem.exe but do not reboot yet.
Then run sfdrvup.exe which will give you an error 1072.
Finally run the sfdrvpatch.exe on the file located in
Windows/System32/Drivers.Should tell you it is cracked.
Now reboot.

STEP 3:Click game icon and again it will ask to to reboot to install protection system.(Bah)

STEP 4:Finally download Starforce nightmare from http://starf.bestmedia.kiev.ua/.
Run the SFNightmare.exe and(a) disable cd (b) disable node and (c)
disable ch2(depending on what IDE cable your cd drives are on).
Ensure game is mounted and try to play.
Game should check disk and play.

I guess heīs a newbie at such things and didnīt linked the .nfo-extension to the editor/notepad.

What about using .txt-extension instead next time?

Just my 2 cents...

The NFO-files aren't written by GameCopyWorld !!!

LOL a newbie calling someone else a newbie.

You got to love the irony :P

Hagar is hardly a newbie! He has been a member since 2001. But maybe a little ill informed tho! ;)

Yep, you are right. The .nfo-files are from the groups/crackers who fixed the specific game...

BUT!

Is there no one who decrunches the files and have a look at them before they appear on the gcw?!
I understand that some not working or faked (demo-files) "cracks" are released from time to time as nobody can test all of the releases and files - and the gamers sometimes cry like little babies because they cant play without the disc in drive a.s.o.

The .nfo-files are also checked itself, because sometimes the "original info" contains a cd/dvd-key in them. These keys are gonna/have to be removed -
so why is it impossible to simply rename the extension, huh? :-D

And... I am of course not a newbie guys!
Just only a handfull of posts dont mean i am a noob ;-D
Okay, my english *ucks, but there is some knowledge behind *g.
(but i am no cracker at all, thats right. but the most of us here at the gcw arent crackers i guess - because they could do the requested files on their own then!)

And almost i forgot:
Happy Easter, buddies!
