Error With Punisher No CD Patch
 

Hey guys I have tried installing the Punisher V1.0 NoCD patch and when I try to start the game I keep recieving a Windows Xp Error where it comes to the send error report window. I have replaced my original exe file with the fixed exe. In the install guide it says burn Bin\Cue... I'm a newb at this and was wondering what Bin file they talking about and why burn it? I can't seem to get this file too work. Any help would be great. :o

Do you have the original cd/dvd?

Punisher nocd crack from Hoodlum
 

I have had the same problem - the game works fine with the original CD, but when you apply the crack it crashes. Does any-one have a different crack to that made by Hoodlum ? :confused:

I'm having the same exact problem fellas. Sadly though I have no solution.

Original disk for a while I guess.

Hmmm, the Hoodlum crack seems to work ok for me? Not that I have played the game that much! But it did work. ;)

What do we have in common that causes the crash ?
 

Wonder whether it doesn't like something we all have ? - Emulation software for instance - although it runs from the original CD. Do you other guys having a problem have Alcohol or CloneCD installed ? Might play with the video card settings too. If anyone is successful please make a post.

I tried with several different video setting and resolutions and that didnt help. I have a Radeon. The driver setting I use are typically the default.

The 2nd crack over at megagames is the same as the hoodlum crack. So that didnt work.

What region is everyones copy of this btw.

My Punisher is Australian version - be the same as your Asimov, I imagine. I even tried making the CD's into an image, installing it through Alcohol and trying to mount the game to by-pass the need for CD, but it still asks me to insert CD1 into the drive to start.
I have Geforce FX 5600 - so don;t think video is the problem - haven't tried uninstalling Alcohol, but as it doesn't give me any message that emulation software has been detected, I don't see that this will help. Unfortunately the log file of the crash is not helpful in telling me why the game crashes. Tried it on my own and my son's computer - does the same thing. :mad:

The only thing thats common between us is that we both have alcohol installed. Im gonna uninstall and see if it makes a difference.

Crack dosen't comes with infos about burning a bin file or dose it GLH?

Its not working because you have the [UK] version. There are two versions of 1.00.
This same problem was experienced by the [UK] version of Playboy - the Mansion, a fixed image later solved the problem.
Patience is a virtue use ur orignal disc for now.
