XBOX backup issue
 

I have a 1.6 with avalaunch and first m8_16 bios

Lately when burning backups my xbox will autoboot to M$ dash and say can not recognize disc.
My 1.4 Xbox that is soft modded boots all the discs I have made but my smartxx modded 1.6 xbox just kicks to M$ dash and will not read the disc.


Is there a newer M8_16 bios out that may fix this issue?
any help appreciated.

What DVD-ROM do you have? MS added in a new dvd drive into the 1.6 xbox's. They also happen to be worse than the Thompson drives at reading backups .

it's the samsung that also plays the cdrs.
it's only been of lately since this started I use stomp in data mode and had always been good to go no issues at all also tried ISO same thing.

here are the 2 games i recently copied Fight night round 2 and super monkey ball Deluxe and they refuse to boot only the originals boot.
I really only modded my xbox for XBMC but it's nice to have the option of backing up my games.


Update......went and got some dvdrws and the game now boots guess the drive does'nt like the Fujifilm dvd+rs I bought:(
strange though I been buying the cheapie dvds and never had this issue before guess it's time to buy a little better dvds for now on.

ah, i c. Samsungs read everything but dvd+r's. I guess you found that out first hand though.

Well it's weird I have used dvd+rs on many occasions and had no issues this is all new to me at this point.
