Movie playing on PS2
 

Does anybody know if you can write a movie file onto a CD-R and play it on a PS2? I've tried writing a miniDVD and SVCD (that someone said worked) in UK PAL format with Nero vision express 2.SE but no success. PS2 is region 2 restricted.

Its probably cheaper and a better idea to just buy a cheapo dvd player. Here in the US we have some on sale that cost abotu $35. They usually play everything. Using a ps2 to play dvd movies will only wear out your laser LOTS faster.

Its sad that playstation 2 is such a good platform for games yet the console is garbage all i ever hear is that the laser will burn out. Perhaps sony should fix their engineering problems and give people what they actually paid for.

i have had my ps2 messiah 2 powered for over 3 years on a v7 ,,,,,,,,,, its like everything in life you buy, look after it give it the right food and itll love ya for a long time ????????????? :p
