PAL NTSC help!
 

Hi all,
I just bought Metal Gear Solid 3 PAL because it has all the extras and I'm a MGS fiend. Anyways, when I tried to play it on my NTSC console and TV, I can see the picture and hear the sound, but the screen keeps jumping constantly. Therefore, I can't see anything really. I checked this site and tried all the patches I could think off (PAL to NTSC, y fix, whatever) but none works. Is it my TV that couldn't display the image properly, and if it is what can I do to display the picture correctly. I'm been dying to watch all the cinemas in the game in one sitting and any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know what I can do to be able to play the game....

what chip is in your ps2?

I'm pretty sure the PAL version only runs in PAL resolution (ie 576i), and your TV is not compatible with PAL by the sounds of it.

If you have a MI (and I think CC also) modchip, you could try forcing the output to NTSC but there are no guarantees it will work. I tried this with my PAL version of GTA:SA and half the picture was cut off.
