HELP - Burning a Data/Data disc
Hello all,
Ok, I have edited my original post. Going to provide some more specifics this time around :) In short: I think I have a non-mil DC, and my efforts to burn a disc to act as a work-around (data/data disc) aren't going anywhere. Here's what I've done so far - Lets take Echelon SkiesofArcadia as example. 1. I have my game on disc, make a cdi in Discjuggler onto my harddrive 2. Extracted the data from this, and I have a list of the directories/files/bins. I put these into a directory called 'data' 3. Ok, I found I don't have an Ip.bin, but the 1st_read.bin is there. So I make a IP using IPextractor (I think it was?) 4. Used IPBIN4WIN on Ip.bin and it points towards 1st_read.bin. Everything fine so far? 5. Next I fire up MKISOFS to make the Iso. Now I've read you've gotta use an offset of 0,0 for a data/data disc. And not 0,11700 I used the command from Echelon's tutorial: mkisofs -C x,y -V ECHELON -l -o data.iso data but, I put the 0,0 where x,y are. I reckon this is where I might have gone wrong? 6. Used bin2boot and typed data.iso as the file to make into cdi 7. Burned using Discjuggler. It shows I have 2 sessions. Please see image attached below! This was my second attempt at this disc, the DC loads and runs throught the Echelon booter. When it gets to 'Loading game' bit - it returns to standard DC setup screen. My first attempt loaded the disc as audio CD, recognising the 1st track as 74mins long I would appreciate any guidance you good guys can offer!!! :) *is going mad* Matt |
