Can you mod the slim PS2?
 

My old PS2 broke after opened it up for fun. Anyways EB gave me 60$off the new slim PS2 once I traded it in. Now I'm wondering if it's possible to play backed up game on the new PS2.
Anybody own the new slim PS2 and use backup games successfully?

It works great with the Crystal Chip or the Matrix Infinity.

Sure can, I installed a MI in mine around a month ago and it works great!

in my opinion the best fix (now) are:

-4 zener
-100Kohm // 1Mohm (near the Z point to turn off the laser when the play is blocked and the user open the tray)

the matrxi pic is not useful: the K point doesn't do his work evry times when the play blocks...

were not talking about fixes we are talking about what kind of modchip he wants in his v12 console.

I agree with warlock matrix infinity is best because i find its alot easier to use than the crystal and still has the same features.

For regarding the fixes i suggest doing the matrix fixes

diode fix and the pic fix all avaliable at the matrix infinity website.
