Mod Chip Identification?
 

Hi guys ive looked through the forums and the sites for a guide which tells how to identify what modchip has been installed on which machines. . I dont think i will have any trouble identifying what version of ps2 im looking at thanks to this great guide http://server1.megagames.com/ps2/ps2...fication.shtml. The main problem is that i am not permited to take of the cover of the intended ps2 but do know that it is modded. Any ideas ? help im a n00b ;) :) :p :o

the model number of the unit, and a description of how you boot ur backups would be a good place to start :)

someone told me yesterday , that if i keep certain keys down i can access the bios? Streetfighter EX 3 boots with no swap as with other backed up games

What are these certain keys? Also, is the chip Flash Upgradeable? Do you get any text/pictures underneath the PlayStation 2 logo when games boot up?
