Chipping Q for playing backups...
I have an xbox only about 2 months old would like to get it chipped to play backups as the kids are terrible with disks.
Not bothered about going online with it so can en1 recommend the best way to get this done? |
Well we'd have to know what version of xbox you have. Especially if you have a 1.6, which you probably do.

as has been said since its new you prob have a 1.6 those are more difficult to chip and require certain ones...and IIRC all those require extremly good soldering skills. hell even the older ones need skills, i managed to break a 1.0 box and had to humbly ask a friend to fix it and do it right...works great now though.
youre better off looking around www.xbox-scene.com |
To be honest I think the solderless Xenium SP.I.C.E is great. Solderless for all versions of xbox (1.0-1.6b). I have installed 3 of those myself and before that 2 Xenium Ice SP.
Really simple install, easy setup and works great. But sure, the best would be if you could find someone to solder an Xecuter 2/3 for you. But if you do now know anyone or feel like doing it yourself but lacks the necessary soldering skills the Xenium SP.I.C.E will be fine... :) |
After 6 months, I am pretty sure his questions were answered.
