Me too,sticky DVD Playback!
Hi everyone,
I just joined the forum and have been reading all your informative posts. One caught my eye as the same thing is happening with my DVDs I burned using DVDShrink, not sure which version it is. I have like i said been reading but I still really do not know what my problem can be. I don't think i was doing any other work on my computer and as far as the burner I believe it is Nero. I burn directly to the DVD and it comes out good, can play on stand alone DVD players, but they always want to stick. it happens throughout the entire movie. I tried on all three of the DVDplayers I have with playback the same, sticky! I am new to this and I do not know the underlying things of DVD burning. And what is firmware? Thank for any thoughts you will share with me. sharim |
What media are you using?
Firmware is the instructions the drive needs to read and burn. New firmware is made when new discs are introduced and the drive needs to be calibrated to burn them or read them correctly. Tyler! |
I must be dumb!
What do you mean what media am I using, example of media Please! I'm really not as dumb as this sounds. LOL! But I am still new to this DVD burning stuff!
Thanks! sharim |

Media
Hello,
Thanks for your replys. I am using Memorex DVD-R 8X4.7 GB 120min. sharim |
Ive personally never liked Memorex as a brand. They typically are a lesser brand. Try something new. Ritek Ridata and Tayo Yuden are great media.

Just my 2 cents, I too have had very bad experiences with memorex. I bought the 8x dvd-r and have none of em work in 8x burn. The movie freezes. They do work in 4x burn though. I have a pioneer 107d(8x) with v1.18 Gradius firmware. Never buying memorex again!!!!
