PSX homebrew games page
I am currently putting together a retro games homebrew site. Most of it is still under construction but the PSX homebrew game download page is all up and running. You can visit it HERE!!!
Yep, it does look a bit rough and am still toying with the design but all downloads are there and in .cue and .bin format. All of the games were originally found as PSX .exe files and converting them to CD Images has been a pain. I have an explanation on how to do that on the PSX info on the same site. I am looking for a Playstation CD Menu creator. If anyone can recommend one would be very grateful. Also any comments on site would be appreciated. Regards :) |
in the psx info page you said you can use nero for it to work on PSX right?and can you play'em if you use a boot disc or does it have to be a modded system
|
No, on the PSX info page I said use CDRWin only. Nero and other burning programs are a bit hit and miss on whether they will boot for some reason. It just due to the way each program interprets the .cue/.bin file.
If you use the cdrwin demo version at the bottom of the game page to burn it should work fine. As for whether they will work with a boot disc, haven't tried them. Have only tried on modded ps1 and ps2. Let me know if any of them work with boot disc. |

|
Page still there. I think ntlworld are havin sum troubles today. Was the same first thing this morning.
Yep, can't even get www.ntlworld.com up. I assume it will be up an runnin again shortly. BTW if anyone has or knows of any other psx homebrew games then please let me know an I will add them. I try an put only completed projects on the site as there is a lot of unfinished stuff floatin around that will probably never get completed. Am also looking for ps2 homebrew games as well so if anyone who can recommend would be much appreciated. |
U can grab my compilation from:
http://members.lycos.co.uk/dreamplay...ompilation.rar ps. could u send to my mail <[email protected]> that compilation from that dead site? |
Thanx for the compilation DrEaMpLaY
What program did you use to edit the PSX Menu Title text? Or do you just need an ascii/hex editor or sumfing like that. Is that the Retrocoder Arcade game collection that you are after? Double Dutch designs are currently rewriting their web site so cannot get it from there as the PSX page is not fully up and running. I do have the compilation retrocoder disc but it needs a keycard to play properly which you had to buy from retrocoder. Playing it without it caused it to freeze after a few mins. The reason I have the games separately for download on my site is that they do not need a key card to work in their current form. PSX Paul has given me a psx menu tool so will try an make a compilation using that. Incidentally, do you have a copy of the modded Speculator ZX Spectrum Emulator with 20 different games on than the original or the Utility that retrocoders made to enable you to change the 20 games. Also (sorry to go on) does anyone have a jpg to tmd conversion tool that creates tmd images for psx boot up screen? And finally many thanx to PSX Paul and DrEaMpLaY for stuff for site. You both have a mention. Now just need to get googlebot to accept! Regards |
Good work Andy!
First off GREAT WORK Andy. I can see you've been busy working on this. You really have put in alot of work since I last saw the site. I love that arcade section. Classic games you can just pop in anytime and enjoy. :D

I simply use hexeditor :) The best way to hack something.

Anthony Ball from Double Dutch/Retrocoder emailed me the complete retrocoder arcade collection on 1 cd so have put that up for d/l. Have also got zx speculator patching program on there now so should be able to make up a zx spectrum emu cd with more than jus twenty games on it. How the ps2 paint job business going? Are eBay still being a bit sh1tty? |
