Cant seem to get rid of Dir Commentary with Clone
I'm using CloneDVD 2.6.2.3 and AnyDVD to try and back up "The Manchurian Candidate" on FujiFilm DVD-R's.
When I select "Copy DVD Titles" from menu-1 it automaticaly selects the 2hour track in menu-2; which I assume is the main movie. But when I play back the disc in my player it has the directors commentary added. I've burned up three dvd-r's trying to select (or deselect) different options to get rid of the commentary. What am I doing wrong or what do I need to select? Another thing I'm unclear about is, on menu-2 (title configurations), like I said it selects the main 2hr title-1 track. It deselects tracks 2-18, these vary in playtimes from zero minutes to 15 minutes. I realize these are extra features, previews and menu options but what is the other column for Audio Settings? For example, track 7's audio column reads: "6 AC3/2EN,AC3/2EN", some tracks are "2 AC3" or "1 AC3". I guess I don't know what that string of information relates too. Can someone explain this briefly? Sorry for the noob attack, I'm really trying to figure this out on my own, but DVD coasters are a little more expensive than cd-r's. And I'm running low on blank DVD's Thanks in advance. |
First of all stop burning coasters. Use CloneDVD2 to make dvd folders instead of burning straight to disc. That way you can use a pc based dvd player, like Ulead DVD Player to test your movie before you burn.
Secondly try the Clone DVD option. Itll allow you to personally select your options. If you dont want the menu's then deselect it from the top corner. Play with it a bit. Youll get it. Tyler! |
Lots of problems with CloneDVD
I used to clone the whole DVD until I realized there are different modes DUH LOL.....
When you first open CloneDVD you have 3 options: 1. "Copy DVD Titles" 2. "Clone DVD" 3. "Write Existing Data" If you select option 1, you only get the movie If you select option 2, you clone the whole DVD including all the extra Bull I have not ever used option 3. Hope this helps |
I use it all the time without complications.
1. you got it right. 2. pretty close but recent versions of clonedvd2 allow the deselecting of previews, audio, subtitles, and even chapter removal (if you really want to). This allows a very good quality backup. 3. this just burns your existing files to dvdr. Tyler! |
