V9, Duo2, .... BUT NO SCREEN

So here i am again

Got a new problem! I´ve chipped a V9 with the Duo2 Chip, and after boot i was shocked

There wasn´t any screen at my TV! Only a little white stripe, when I reseted the System =(

I checked all the wires, ... there isn´t anything wrong or? If yes, which wires could be the problem for the screen?

And how can I check the wires with a multimeter? Should I check the Ohms, or Volt or what??????

Pleeze help me, THX

Ernie

Ernieboy0021 05-02-2005 00:49

Its just a DUO2 not the SE! .. hmmm.. what should I do now? Are there any instructions or something how to check the wires via multimeter?

THX

yeh get the multi meter out and check for continuity the diagram on the mm looks like a zener diode.

I dont think the Duo2 will not work on a v9. You need the Duo2se.EDIT, i am wrong it does work on a v9. I was thinking about the original DUo chip which BTW i have 2 i will give away if anyone's insterested.

seaneyb2003 05-02-2005 05:56

Sorry that I´m so a big noob :( But what the hell is a zender diode? Must i Switch my multimeter to ohms? volts? or what? And where should i hold on the Plus-needle and my Minus-needle??? E.G.: + on Chip "V", - on Mainboard "V"?????

SOrry once again, for my bad english and my noobness, ... but i´m sure you can help me!

I don't want to offend anybody here, but maybe if you don't know how to use a multimeter, you maybe should have thought about not attempting to install the chip... :(

It may be best to send it to a pro to sort...

I´ve modded 3 PS2´s with the DUO2 Chip (V10,V4,V5) and there wasn´t any Problem! So i thought I´ll do it once again!

Guys I know it´s funny to laugh about somebody because he doesn´t know everything about modding, (I´m sure you do) and I´m really fascinated about your talent. But I came to this Forum here to ask if i got problems and to get advices not to joking! (If I want to Joke, I go to chatrooms).

Hmmm, but thanks for your "help"! :)

EDIT: LUFCFan.. I don´t know any Pro, who will be able to sort it
