Messiah 2 and DVD+r DL
 

Does anyone know if this chip works with DVD+r DL backups? I made a backup of xenosaga and it boots to the logo screen than stays black. The original works fine.

I may be wrong but i dont think the PS2 reads dual layer dvd+r.

Actually I think some do. Not many.

I think it was Lufc who mentioned that he has some DL games he has backed up and they work in his ps2. I think it heavily depends on your ps2 laser though.

Doesn't it depend on what modchip you have too? Because now on all the latest chips they mention "DVD9 support".

I think thats more of a sales pitch. ;)
