HL2 Walking sound very very soft
 

Hi all,

I have no sound problems in the game, apart from the fact that my character's footsteps are SUPER soft. In areas where there are ambient noises, I can't even hear my own footsteps. The only time my feet make loud noises is when I jump.

I can hear every other sound effect in the game perfectly fine.

I m using Creative SB Live. I tried disabling EAX, and playing with different speaker settings in the HL2 options, but nothing helps.

I have also made sure that "sv_footsteps" in the console is set to "1".

Is there any way to adjust the volume of my footsteps in the game?
