V10, Duo2, but no Backup-ps2 games running..?!

Hej!

I chipped my v10 machine with a DUO2 chip, and backed up Ps-one, and DVD´s are running without any probs. But If I want to boot PS2 games it gives me a DISK READ ERROR?! What should I do? May adjust the lense? Please help me!!

Recheck the install, you got a loose wire somewhere.

THX! I will check!!

Ernieboy0021 20-01-2005 04:05

Checked! No loose wire?! How can I check if the wires are soldered on right? I think i´ve readen that I can check it with a Multi-Meter?! If yes,... how?! *lol*

OOhps! There really was a less wire! So i soldered on it again! Now i´ve got a black&white screen, and the drive will not start spinning! What can I do? What have I done? :(

Check all points with a multimeter

Check BIOS pins etc for bridges

If all else fails, take out the install and start from fresh. Maybe posting a picture might be useful if you have one...

Exactly, If your booting PSX backups then you got the the power, ground, SCEX and reset correct. Check everything else.
