Myst 4 Revelation crashes at startup
 

I have a bought copy of the game, which won't install, probably because I hjave a DVD burner on my PC. Using the No-DVD patch I get an "Application error"---"the data at location 0x00000024 could not be 'read'".

The same thing happens whether I use the crack, or Ubisoft's "fix" ( http://help.support.ubi.com/mystIV_v12_ncd.zip ). I'm pretty sure that Ubisoft'sd fix is just the public crack re-packaged.

I'm clueless as to what to do next. Any suggestion is appreciated.

Some cd/dvd drives do in fact interfere with some game installs. If the dvd burner is all you got, get a cheap dvd non burning drive and try installing from there.
