PS2 Max Drive Copy Problem
 

Hi peeps
i got a original ps2 max drive cd (its a mini cd) and i wanna copy it to have a backup. but its protected somehow. alcohol, clonecd, primo dvd, recordnow max, nero all doesnt work with it. the cd is brandnew, no scratches on it. how do i see what protection it is and how do i copy it. there must be a solution.

Well that is what Clony claims, but Clony hasn't got a clue in reality.
You cannot copy this, you need a modchip for any copy to work in any case.

my ps2 is chipped (matrix infinity)
but what the heck does a modchip have 2 do with copy a cd on a PC?
i tried everything but cant copy it. need help :confused:

the problem is not 2 try 2 play it.
it is to COPY that damn cd....the tryouts come later

hey dude
when i put it into my cdrom its normal, like a cd
i open clony xxl and scan it, it says "libcrypt" is the protection and shows me what 2 do
when i try 2 copy it i always get read errors
tested on all my 3 burners (pioneer dvd, nec dvd <-(cant even read that cd), samsung)
the cd has not 1 scratch on it and is brand new
so i dunno if my drives dont support that kind if libcrypt protection for copy or whatever.
have no clue how 2 do it :mad:

Well libcrypt is common. Ive never had a problem burning games with it using any burning program. Are you running anything like Anydvd in the background of your pc? If not try it, if so disable. Otherwise its probably something that Clony doesnt know about.

i dont have anything running in the back
i also didnt try "anydvd" :p and the cd is not a DVD, just a CD
but i never had a prob with protected cd/dvds till now
i cant handle this one
i get crazy :mad: i need help :(
