Remove Music from DVD's
Is there anyway to remove music from a DVD? I mean, there are some movies that have songs that I like on them, and they're played in Dolby Digital 5.1. I would love to be able to have this music in Dolby 5.1 sound to playback whenever I like. In other words, I would like to remove the songs from certain DVD's, and put them on a seperate disc for my listening enjoyment. Is this possible? Thanks in advance for your help.

I use VirtualDubMod for this purpose. first you should copy the dvd files to hdd with dvddecrypter or just copy the VOB file that has the music,
open the VOB with VirtualDubMod and if the movie has several audio streams, you should select the correct one here, now you should edit the movie and delete the unnecessary section of movie from track bar. goto streams->stream list->Demux, and save the AC3 file. you can also rip the music with DVD Audio Ripper but the output is only mp3 or wave. |
Or just buy the soundtrack. lol

Have you tried cranking up the volume?

There is a program i use called directdvd 5.0 that will allow you to save the sound to mp3 stereo, joint stereo, dual channel. most music isn't recorded in 5.1 anyway.
