Region mismatch!
 

Hi all! Sorry if this is a repeat posting but I am a newcommer to DVD backup and this forum. I recently tried to back up a region 1 DVD using DVD Shrink and was promptly hit with the message "Drive Region Mismatch! DVD Shrink cannot openthis disc unless you change the region code of your DVD drive. Current drive region - 2. Your drive allows you to change the region 4 more times" Is there a way around this because I own several region 1 discs? Thanks for any replies! Ant.

Very nice, you solved your prob in less that an hour.


BTW, if you just buy Anydvd youll never have that problem with any drive. And thats without flashing.

why 5?
 

does anybody know why you can only change the region 5 times?

Yeah I think its supposed to keep you from watching certain region movies on your pc. But they allow a certain number of times in case the drive gets sold in a different region and whatnot.

use dvd decrypter then put the image in dvd shrink thats what I did and it never quetioned my pc again,in case u don't want to flash :D
