DVD Backup Questions
 

Hey guys, I just got band of Brothers on DVD and a few other movies and was wondering whats the best way for me to make backup copies so my family can't damage the origionals? Since most new DVD's are using dual layer (including the BoB set) can I somehow shrink the size of the DVD to fit on a normal dvd-r/+r or do I have to buy 7 dual layers dvd's just for the set?

Also what software is recommended to burn the DVD's after they are shrinked and will they still work on my DVD player like a normal dvd does?

Try 1 of the following programs, These you can select which movie components you want

DVD Shrink 3.2
Elby CloneDVD

You may also require to use the following programs as well to remove the Region and Protections

Any DVD
DVD43 + Patin Coufin

I completely backed up Band Of Brothers using AnyDVD and CloneDVD.
As I recall there really wasn't anything special on the disc except for some comentary that I got rid of. It all fit on a DVD+R for me. Sounds and looks great too.
