Nvidia and HL2 DirectX9
 

Hi, i have a Nvidia 5600 256MB card, i have the latest Nvidia drivers 66.93

on the Video settings for HL-2 and CS-Source , under hardware i cant seem to place it under DirectX 9 , its just on DirectX 8 , on the box of my video card it does say it supports DirectX 9 , thanks

that's the way Valve optimized HL2 on FX cards by running them in DX8 mode!! :rolleyes:
you should modify the dxsupport.cfg file to force DX9 on your card, it was very hot topic when discovered last month.
