thug2 setting controls

Well I managed to install Tony Hawk's Underground 2, but it turns out the only way to set the controls is when you install the game, or by the cd launcher menu. I had to get around the last part of the install process when it asks for cd1 again to verify it's real (as in the directions). Because of this, the launcher thingy doesn't think the game's installed. Anyone know of an alternative way to set the controls and change the video settings and stuff? An INI file to edit? A registry hack to make the launcher the game's installed? Any help will be appreciated.

Strange question. I think you made an incomplete install.
There are only 2 keys for THUG2 in the registry :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Activision\Tony Hawk's Underground 2]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Activision\Tony Hawk's Underground 2]
and yes you can edit the values in the current_user key.
But the launcher allows you to save your choices and quit without launching the game. Why not make your choices in the launcher, save, quit the launcher, and then launch the game directly (\Game\THUG2.exe) ? I have two shortcuts in my THUG2 folder : "Settings", which launch Launcher.exe, and "Play", which launch \Game\THUG2.exe.

Bonjour chez vous,

Just install the game from your original cds and after that copy the crack!
