Sacred Russian Patch
 

The newest sacred patch - the russian / english one - has anyone got this working? The .nfo says to run the key.reg file . . . but . . . it doesnt contain one :eek: also if anyones got this working does the backing up of scripts make it in english? lol ... id really like to play + ... seems like they added some nice new stuffs - thx

I had a look, but was unable to get it working. I'm not sure what to make of it - the registry patch sets the install language to Russian, it uses the Russian patch... I don't know where Russian/English part of the description comes into it. And i thought the copy protection was on cd1 - but the mini-image is for cd2?

at times like this - i wish that the 'fix' creator put their email on the thing ... sigh ... guess ill wait till the next one and keep playing 1.77

After downloading the russian patch, it all seems to (mostly) work. The problem, however, appears to be the missing file 'key.reg' that is referred to in the nfo, which isn't in the archive.

im really wondering how u got it to 'mostly' work ... i mean, does it work - or not? lol :) i had the same problem as u - got to that step and im like 'wat the hell?!' lol ... at which point i reinstalled sacred in the grueling way that i do ... (grueling considering my cd drive is broken :() but i wont worry about this now - ive got 2 finals in a few days - so thats gonna take a lil priority ... ill keep popping on the site and on the boards - being hopeful and having some christmas cheer without my early christmas present :( :rolleyes:

It gets as far (after patching and stuff) as asking to reboot, but afterwards, when trying to run the game, it makes a comment about 'The Key you entered is wrong or mistyped', which is where i suspect the missing key.reg comes into it. (This is using the russian patch, applied to the english game, following the instructions in the nfo)

The latest No-CD Sacred patch is incomplete, I suppose out of concerns about distributing CD keys. But Sacred does not have CD keys you say. Indeed it doesn't, but the Russian Plus version and updates are Starforce 3 protected so the CD itself contains a single Key for the CD like all Starforce 3 CDs. My Sacred CD like all non-Russian versions uses Protect CD rather than Starforce 3
