It works (with a little trick)

If you rename the two directories, that are language specific, the No-CD for Version 1.11 from Barry (as found on GCW) works perfect.

Look here:

\GameData\Data\_LVL_PC\Shell\
\GameData\Data\_LVL_PC\Common\

Both of the above folders contain a subdirectory named "Ger", if you have the german version of the game. Just rename those subdirs to "Eng" and start the game with the formerly mentioned crack.

Menu strings are english, but all voices are in german.
Those things seem to be hardcoded into the "Battlefront.exe" file.

I tried it with Singleplayer and Multiplayer (valid CD-key needed). Both worked with no problem.

if you want to get rid of the annoying "stand up and search the cd for playing again" you can also use daemon tools instead of a crack. Make an alcohol image of disc 1. The mds can be done with toshiba sd-m 1912 at 16x speed (mds making is not supported with nec 3500ag 1.08).

Found this somewhere, worked for me:
"To mount images of Securom 5 titles, you have to edit the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Hardware/Devicemap/Scsi
There you can find your drives listed from 'Scsi Port 0' to 'Scsi Port X'
From the 'driver'-name you can tell which are the virtual drives of Daemon tools
Now you only have to change the Administrator's 'Read rights' from 'Permit' to 'Deny'."
