LotR: Battle for Middle-Earth [No Intro movies]
For everyone that does not want to wait:
- browse to game install dir -> data -> movies. - backup following files and then delete the original to your satisfaction. 242.vp6 ................[= Story intro movie] EALogo.vp6 ...........[= EALogo movie] intel.vp6 ...............[= intel logo movie] NewLineLogo.vp6 ....[= newline logo movie] THX.vp6 ...............[= thx logo movie] Have fun ;) |
In battlefield 1942, when you deleted the EA logo file intro, you get another intro that's build in the .exe file... :p is it the same for this game?

Instead of editing the installation, you could use a tiny mini-mod to have the same effect. With it you can be sure any future patches wont complain about missing files.

Has anyone taken these steps to see if it works on the site listed ?
http://www.nooblet.org/bfme-nologo/ It states "I extracted the config file "data/ini/video.ini"?" Using Notepad or What? Cause when i see it in notepad or wordpad I see tons of little squares next to certain things & i'm not sure if i need to removed some of the squares before & after the data/ini/video.ini ... ??? |

if you dont want to deleted the video files you can also add +restart 1 to your shortcut |
Hi, the .big files can be manipulated with XCC, the project can be found at http://xccu.sourceforge.net/.
|
instead of that all, u can just rename the movie folder :)

A mod has the advantage of not interfering with the installation. Meaning future patches won't complain about missing files.
Renaming rather than moving would be a better idea, which is what I did in the first place, but the mod is a much cleaner approach :D |
