PS2 no longer reads DVD movies or DVD roms
 

ok this is a simple and quick question is there a site i can download the drivers for the PS2 DVD decoding the system itself reads PSone and PSX games fine but dvd movies and dvd roms it wont load the eye is fine however its seems to be the driver to decode the dvds has been replaced or corrupted somehow is there a way to find the drivers on a free download site and reload them onto my PS2 without having to buy the new remote controller kit and without having to pay for the download ? any help is appreciated

I've been in the PS2 scene for a long time and have never heard of the drivers becoming corrupted. My guess is the dvd laser itself is going out.

As Warlock said, it's the laser unit itself, and not a driver...
