What's the word on the V12??

So has any company acctually fixed their V12 chips so they work 100% and don't kill lasers?

I would like to know this too. AFAIK, the new Matrix fix seems to be the most effective.

I've been putting off getting a Matrix Infinity.

Apparently there are a few guys who say that they have a 100% solution for the fix.

The Neosaic team used the Matrix fixes to create they're own or something of the sort. Result is the Neo-Fix Xii

http://www.neoasic.com/

The Ripper Team has a few potential fixes for the problem based on the vandrunen fix.

Also apparently Foundmy has released a fix for the v12. Then there's the Matrix PIC fix... the diode fix....etc. I have no idea about what the hell all of this does..... I haven't really been following, too much work to get the v12 to work properly. Glad I got my v7 :D . Good luck though.

Isn't the Neoasic board identical to the Matrix PIC and diode fix, just that everything is on the one board? Where can one purchase this Neoasic board?

I saw that Foundmy had a fix too on their website, but no details as to what it does or anything. Has anyone had any experience with this fix?

Look for this information to be available very soon.

I have been compiling a list with links and pictures of all the "fixes" currently available.

Click here to view the list etc

I have personally not tried any of them so can not recommend one over the other. I still recommend people hold off and wait till a 100% reliable solution is discovered!

Hey long time noo see

ShadowKnyght 14-12-2004 14:27

yeah - I have a 1 year old now - been so swamped with work, family and other stuff that I have been neglecting my friendly forums a little of late! :(

I will have to try to do better! :D

Man sony has wasted their reputation! What have we had.......Sh*t version 1 to 4 and sh*t version 9 to 12.

For a world leading manufactuer like them this is v.v.v.v.v.poor.

So, what can we learn by this? Don't buy a PS3 until they've been on the shelves a year as b4 this you are simply a developement tool for Sony. (and they will ignore what they learn from you anyway!!! :D )

seaneyb2003 15-12-2004 05:19

yeah otto thats good advice, i get one when they stop doing decent games on the ps2 and load em onto ps3 thats what i do. should be a decent working one with add on support ;)

People are dumb, it blows my mind. People are paying like $220 for POSTwo SlimStations on ebay because xmas shortages but guys selling decent used 39001’s, that work far better and are far better value can barley sell a system for $120!

well to answer this its because people (in general) dont read too far into anything.. they see the newest thing or version and feel they need to get it right away just because its a newer version even though many of times they are worse then the orignal!
just my 2 cents!
who cares if they have a small ps2? my V7 kicks A$$ with my 160 gig hdd in it
