Problem backing up Goldeneye
DVD decrypter says it doesn't have copy protection, but a straight disk to disk copy with nero doesn't work.
So I turned it into an image file and burned it onto a DVD as an ISO using Alcohol %120, which has worked for some other playstation backups, but not this time. I'm still new to this thing of backing up my playstation games, so if it seems like I'm doing something obviously wrong, please let me know...and feel free to laugh. |
LOL dvd decrypter doesn't detect ps2 protection.
so what chip do you have and what media are you using. try using sonic record now max delux works everytime for me |
Not using a chip, using a DVD slide card combo.
I've had no trouble backing up 5 or 6 other ps2 games using the above methods, including new titles like Call of Duty. I'm using TDK DVD + R media. So the best software is sonic record now max delux? Are there any apps that will detect or remove ps2 copy protection like DVD decrypter does with other things? |
[QUOTE=Crowfood]Not using a chip, using a DVD slide card combo.QUOTE]This is the problem. Buy a modchip.

I used Alcohol 120 to burn golden eye into an image and i burned it perfectly i have a slide disk thing(i ordered a chip its on its way)and it worked fine so im assuming your disk is dirty also those slide disks things are really agervating i got 1 and mine makes noises and all kinds of stuff not to mention having a slide disk thing really scatches up disks really bad and ur swap disk could be scratched up
|
I actually heard there was compatibility probs with Goldeneye using the swap discs.. But if he says it works I dunno..
|
The noises are due to the drive mechanisms being forced open. I've replaced several PS2 DVD Drives in the past due to the use of slide cards, and the cogs have been ground to sh*t... :(
