chip or not?
 

hi,
after browsing through some posts ive been put off from buying the slide card and swap magic discs,are they really that bad? what ive read from other sites they work on 90% of backups.

would i be right in saying that if the ps2 is chipped,a straight 1:1 copy of the original in nero (clonedvd etc) will boot straight away?
and that if you use the slide card some patching to the iso/image needs to be done?

any help will sway my decision!

The slide card can also damage the tray eject. Its a bad decision when it comes to loading backups.

90% of backups... as opposed to pratically 100% (if not 100%) with a modchip.... :eek:

Mine works why does'nt yours?
 

I have a flip top and boot disc setup and %100 of my backups work flawlessly ,I burn with nero and I use riteks G04 media with no problems without a modchip. you can get the one I got at www.maxwaves.com .

How many games do you own? 2.. or 3? Swap discs don't work on all games.. It may just work on the extent of your collection.. I know this because I had the discs and a flip top.

Reguardless: SWAP DISCS ARE AWESOME!!! :D

Swap Magics are crap, Im sure our friend LoutheWiz hasnt had as much expieriance with them as most of the members of these forums have.
