Spider Chip
Is the Spider Chip really solderless for V6 Xbox's and if so, is the chip any good???
|
Yeah I havent dont much research on it but I just dont like the idea of exposed wires that are bent around too much. Maybe someone can shed more light on this one.

edit: sry tyler, i hit the edit button on your post instead of mine.

Yeah me either. Does anyone know if its hard to place the wires in the holes??
|
Hmm, the holes are small, but I can see them popping out without the aid of hotglue or something like that. I hot glu my soldered points anyways though. I'm with Tyler though, exposed wires are very bad. If it touches a leg of a chip on the mobo or something.....

I agree. Im chiping my friends V6 xbox and don't know what chip to use. Dont want to solder anything
|
well, you can always plaster beneath the wires with electricians tape. It should be fine, just may look a little wierd. But, I would highly recommend buying a hot glue gun and use it to keep all the points in place. You can always peal it off.

I just hotglued my whole wire. It's not very long and it worked great. I wire is all encased in the glue.

Hot glue is great but I also worry about using too much as it can insulate certain parts of your motherboard. You dont want to have a heating issue as well.

T you worry too much because you're old.. Anyway.. somehow I knew that Spidey chip was too good to be true..
