dead ps2
 

Hi was given a ps2 v6 the weekend for parts as it is not working so had a look at it
All the fuses are fine and no burnt chips on the board, so not sure what is up with it
When you turn it on the fan starts and the red light goes green but the blue eject light stays off and the tray wont eject, the laser doesn’t move or light when the power is turned on could it be a ba chip prob or is the board dead tried replacing the power/eject buttons still the same.
the system is unchiped

Without having the PS2 in hand something like this is very hard to diagnose

what do you think it might be as the system is for srap i dont mind messing with it for a bit also i get a black screen and no audio at all

I think I did the same thing.

Have you got a friend with a PSX? If yes, try to change the parts you think its damaged?! And check the system part for part ;)

i have an old v6 board that i can use for parts just want to know what people think it might be insted of changing parts in the hope that it will fix it
