Problems + problems with Last games...

Dear Forum friens...
Till the date I made a few backups with no problem.
But some recent game... I got many problems
With PsiOps, the "original" has the "movies"... the backup goes directly to the game and play no "movies".
Fable and Halo 2 -> I tryed diferent brands (Ridisc and Datawrite) and I get the message "disc durty or damage"
I used xISO 1.1.5, Craxtio 2.4 and CloneXB 2.3.

Does any body knows the reason?
Can somebody help me? ;)
Thanks!

You got an old xbox thats why

You must buy a new DVD and Hardisk. I had a old xbox it cant read new games. :(

hard-disk????

More than likely it is the dvd-rom. Either do a pot tweak or buy a new one (that isn't a thompson drive).

You could try different dvd brands, but I really don't think that's the problem.

Hello Nico G...
Don't you think that is not a solution?
We are talking about a game console not a PC...
So the games made for X-Box, have to work in all models!... Ok... maybe de DVD reader was... damage or durty... but change the HDD...
But thanks anyway!

Although nobody helped me! (exepte NICO G, that tryed :) )... :( I solved the problem and will give this information for people with the same problem !
I tryed "everything" but the I download the last version of CRAXTION (version 4) and... they work!
So... when you want to creat an ISO... I recomended this program because some "old ones" are not working anymore! :o

Hope that this help other people ;)

well you can change hdd's and play the game off of it. I just didn't think it was a problem.

Nico G 02-12-2004 07:58

Its a chip in the hardisk and the dvd so you cant just go and by a dvd y now.

Quall999 02-12-2004 09:48

i don't know what you are talking about when you say chip in the hard-drisk is stopping his games from playing. That is a little confusing to me.

When I said upgrade the HDD and play off of it, I meant to format it as well. Any ide ata-100+ hdd would work. And when I said get a new dvd-rom, I obviously meant a new xbox dvd-rom, not a pc dvd-rom. Those 2 are usually a given and inferred.

WRONG i'm using a original v 1.0 the one i bought the day the xbox was launched it has the original 8 gig hd and thompson dvd drive the mod is the original unnamed 29 wire variety, this xbox has never refused to play any gam i have tried yet.

Quall999 02-12-2004 12:14

29 wires? wow lol. I had no idea you still had that. You can uh, do a 3 wire split tsop if you ever wanted to upgrade for like $3.

Then again, desoldering 29 wires 0_0
