Need for Speed Underground 2 CD Emulation detector
 

Hi

I've downloaded the Image Fixed from NFSU 2 All Versions and did the steps on the readme... but when I start the game appears an error message saying that A CD/DVD Emulation software has been detected (Daemon-Tools)... so how can I use a Image Fixed if the game has a check against it ?

it is not daemon tools!!! Have you CloneCD? that is the problem: you can do this following trick: make a data with this lines:

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Elaborate Bytes\CloneCD]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Slysoft\CloneCD]

then save it to clonecdremover.reg
then doubleclick to the file and add it to the registry! Now you can start the game, although you have cloneCD on your computer! Have Fun!

Yes, it sounds like it would be easier to just uninstall CloneCD!
I dont know why people are using the 'Image' when there is a NoCD.exe available? Or even your fix, Joe ;)

Since there is no working no-cd-crack for German 1.1 nothing remains except using the (btw perfect working) cd image instead of always carrying the 2nd cd with you (installed on notebook).

The person I was referring to is from Brazil. I doubt they have the German version of the game but I may be wrong. I know the Germans still have problems with a NoCD. ;)

I also had this problem but i just uninstalled clonecd and it worked. Although i still have the original problem of when i'm in the game in career mode, i am unable to buy any visual upgrades for my car, even when it says i have unlocked certain things such as exhaust tips etc, they still appear as locked. Is this meant to happen? Or is there a problem with the game?

Indeed you must save these 2 keys in a .reg file, with Regedit, before to delete them. ;)

You can do all that automatically with a batch file that deletes the keys, launch the game, and restore the keys when you quit the game.

This protection is very current these days : I have now such a batch file for 4 games on my HD !
