Pioneer DVR-108 - How do I set the speed?
 

Salutations.

I installed the drive yesterday ( with firmware 1.14 ) and tried backing up 'Once upon a time in Mexico'. I used DVD-Shrink 3.2 to decrypt and it automatically burned with Nero 6.3.1.18. I used a Ridata 8x DVD- (5) media.

The problem is this : How do I set the burning speed? The only choice in DVD Shrink is 'Maximum'...I tried playing with the Nero options but did not find any :( ..

The backup succeeded at a 16x burning speed but Media is Maxed at 8x!!!

The backup does'nt look too bad, but I am sure it would have been better at 4x...

Anyone for a solution?...Thanks!

The only time you should worry about slower burning speeds is if you get an error or bad burn. Otherwise your discs will be just fine.
