Just a dumb question but I used Alcohol 120 to mount and still didn't work. Am i suppose to mount it to my virtual or psyhical drive?

Carpathious 19-11-2004 16:25

where did you mount it on? the virtual drive?

Hiei 19-11-2004 16:27

yes on the virtual drive

taken from another post

"Well call me a dancing fool (i promise never to say that again) i found a crack, go to gamecopyworld, then go to game list then vampire, then since gamecopyworld loves to hide there cracks in the profile of other games scroll partly down the screen to the Related Games: section and click on bloodlines. There are 2 cracks in there, with a fairly slow download rate, i dont know how well they work but apparently they were released today, and im downloading them now. Expect a post shortly telling you if they work or not."

CloneCD has been blacklisted by most protections on most new games, either uninstall and dont use it or edit your registry so games cannot find your CloneCD settings. Use Daemon Tools for mounting images it is the best and only blacklisted by a couple of games I know of unlike the amount that have blacklisted clonecd and always use the latest version of Daemon Tools.

I wonder if there is just going to be a cd crack. I have scanned my registery and found nothing, what ever happened to the good ole fashion no cd crack.
Thanks for the info guys,
Carp

I don't quite understand how it works, I download the fixed image in GCW and mount it with Daemon. but it just said run time error when i run it

bierhuettl 20-11-2004 01:40

i bought the original game yesterday and tried if there is really a problem.
don't know what you want... i made images of all discs with alcohol's safedisc 2/3 profile, mounted one after another with alcohol to install the game and it starts without any problem from that virtual drive.

schlaufer 20-11-2004 07:59

Yes it works.

I've tried the image in the archive svtmb.rar on GCW.

First attempt (daemon 347): Failed :(
Second attempt (Alcohol 1.9.2_1705): Failed :(
Third attempt (uninstalled Alcohol, used daemon 3.47): Failed :(

Now I also removed daemon tools and recognised, that I still had &(§"$/( CloneCD installed. Removed this too. Rebooted. Re-installed daemon and changed the IDs of the miniport driver and device. Mounted image. And it worked!!! :D:D:D

So I am not sure, if it was the (re-)installation, the new ids or the removal of CloneCD. But finally I can play w/o. CD until a No-CD arrives.

I don't quite get it, could you explain in more detail pls ? I don't have CloneCD(the program, right ?)but I don't quite get how to changed the IDs of the miniport driver and device, could you tell me more about it ?

If you install daemon tools 3.47 on fresh system (i.e. after uninstalling and rebooting), the installer presents you a dialog with those values during installation. The default values are something like d347prt and d347sys. Just change those strings to anything you like.

Yusukenl 20-11-2004 08:55

it still doesn't work :(
I change it to driver1 and minport (the name) but it still said C++ runtime error when I run the game :(

H3NN1cH 20-11-2004 09:25

same here ...
both of this

* Vampire - Bloodlines [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed Image
* Vampire - Bloodlines [ALL] No-CD/Fixed Image
I also changed the drivers name > no effect
nothing worked :(

bierhuettl 20-11-2004 09:30

isnt anyone listening to me? clonecd is the reason. i got only alcohol installed, no daemon no ccd. i created an image with safedisc 2/3 profile, works perfectly. no problem here?!

reddragon105 20-11-2004 10:40

i think bierhuettls right. i kept getting the emulation detected error message (even with original game disks), then i uninstalled clonecd and the game works fine.

then i tried the 2 files from gamecopyworld, they both worked for me. tried reinstalling clonecd and now nothing works again (either the originals, or using either of the little images)

im mounting those files using daemon tools, so it seems vampire has no problem with that program. i dont have alcohol at all, so cant vouch for that
