Xbox FTP

OK, Im trying to backup some games using the following method:

1)Use Craxtion to rip the game to the HDD.
2)Use Craxtion to make an ISO of game files.
3)Use FlashFxp to transfer to my computer.
4)Use CDRWin to burn to DvD.

Now the problem I am having. With FlashFxp, when I go to put the info in eg server name, port, user name and remote path. I have no idea what goes in there.

Im a newb to both EvoX, Craxtion and flashFxp, can anyone help me?

Server name is your Xbox IP address (eg: 192.168.1.109)
Port should stay at 21
User name and password should both be xbox
Nothing in the remote path.

Try that. Hope it helps. If not go to xbox-scene.com for tutorials

I tried all that and it isnt working.

I think it may be my network, it keeps saying connection refused. My network connection says it has little or no connection. It worked at a friends house. Same xbox, same crosswire cable.

Anyone know anything about Win XP Home networking?

Same FTP problem

I'm having the same problem too. I got all the IP address info in FlashFXP Ok, it connects to the xbox for 3 seconds and then drops the connection for some reason and I never get to see the xbox drives. In must be my computer TCP/IP settings. Does anyone know what they should be for windows XP?

Quall999 30-11-2004 18:45

That used to happen to me when I first modded my xbox. Turns out that it was my firewall that was stopping it. I think it was Zone Alarms. I had to turn it off.

Really. Try xbox-scene.com, it helped me fixing my TCP/IP issues with XP.

Hey crocky, this is something i had to find out the hard way. You need to have your xbox console in the FTP(PC) screen when you connect. The place where you enter the IP address, and settings for the FTP.

Hope this helps
