XBL Content for mod'd/ban'd XBoxes?
 

Here's a question that I've had for a long time. The situation now is that a good number of people are now banned/banable from XBL. If patches come out for games (like the Halo 2 fixes just announced), is ther a way to get those fixes or transfer those fixes to mod'd boxes?

I have one unmodded box that I saved specifically for XBL so I can get the download. But then, can I somehow apply those fixes to my other box (or friend's boxes)? I have an idea that this can be done by finding the relevant directory (some folder in "e:/udata" or something) and just transfering it, but I would be much more confident in your collective expertise.

if u want u can get the eeprom and put that on the banned box
but then u needa unmod it to play it again

Well, in order to do anything, you need a way to get the files off the non-modded xbox. If there was a way, you will probably have to re-sign it with your hdd key. This can be somewhat confusing though. And it is not gauranteed to work.

i have a question can you connect two xboxes one modded and one not using a link cable and then use somthing like boxplorer to veiw and copy files off of the non moded xbox? just a question would like to know if any one knows

nope, you either have to do a save exploit, softmod, or tsop/chip mod.

Btw, have you tried going online lately with the banned xbox (chip off of coarse)?

I tried going online last night. My Xbox is still banned but I was only banned about a month ago. Don't know what they banned on my Xbox. I don't really use XBL but it would be nice to update H2. Now I have to beat the campaign mode to unlock the foundation map. 4 team CTF would be cool.... I mean MINT!

Eh.. I think he's confused.. By Live I'm guessing he just means online play in one fashion or another.. But signing into xbl through xbc isn't possible as far as I know.
