Matrix Infinity v10 Install?
Wanting to install a Matrix Infinity chip on a v10 PS2. On the install pic for the alternate points for B, G, H & I on the rear of the board. They have blank vias in red are they indicating to fill them with solder  or leave them untouched ?
Thanks! |
Get the varnish off the via's with a fibreglass pen and solder your wires to the points for B,G,H & I indicated in red, there's no point filling the other via's with solder if you ain't gonna solder a wire to them :p

Thanks MrBluesman  I thought so but wanted to make sure :D

Went ahead with the install on the v10 and went from getting a red screen trying to boot up backups. Checked my install and tested the system again and now all I get is the gold disc screen that says dvd disc. I get this for backups/original ps2 games.
Any help is appreciated. |
Er... It may not be too helpful, but all I can suggest would be to recheck those points once more...

It may simply need to be flashed with the v1.38 update. As I understand (and have seen) most Infinitys being sent out are now blank (homebrew) these days.

Those stupid f****** laws!
Yup, I think you may have to reflash up to fw 1.38 too. You wanna know how to do it? The link is below :) http://www.infinitymod.com/cgi-bin/m..._instructionhb P.S. Just check you burn the image in Mode2/XA. I didn't and this simple S.O.B. problem took me three days and three installs to solve  |
I will reflash the chip to fw 1.38. When I was getting the red screen it would boot original PS2 games and I upgraded it to fw 1.35. Not sure what I have done to cause the gold disc to show up for all games.
