Backup copy of Colin Mcrae rally 2005
I have tryed clone cd with no luck it appears to create the cd with no problems but it does not work when I try to run the game.
Any idears very welcome as I have young kids who wreack cds with great ease. |
What settings did you use to copy the original?
Also, I'm not sure CloneCD can make a good copy of the game. |
Its Starforce 3 so the backup wont play! And CloneCD will make a backup of Starforce games but not a 1:1 so you will still need a crack! And there isnt one available yet for this game! Ive used CloneCD to make backups of a few Starforce games now but it really is a wasted exercise unless there is a crack availabe because even if you use the backup for installing you will still need the original Disc in the drive to play it. ;)

Try this trick...
1.Insert CD, back up with Alchohol 120% Starforce 3 profile. Creating a ISO. 2.Mount the iso to a virtual drive (Daemon tools,Elby) 3.Install the game. 4.Now heres the tricky part. Follow this and you SHOULD be ok. 5.Before starting the game, run WMP9. 6.Quickly start Singles (1 second - yes that quick) 7.If you have no luck first time, try and try again. 8.If it dont work for you im sorry, a few other mates of mine have tried it some worked, some didnt. |
try this trik and report here the results....it can be the start of the starforce end!!

I think you will find if you do a search of the forums the Windows Media Player trick has been discussed before! ;)
