how to install nocd patches
 

I have about 20 pc games.. I have backed all of them up due the fact i have 2 small kids and dont want my cds microwaved or made in to ppj...my question is once i download the required patch what do I do next??.... how do I "install" the patch..

if someone could give me some step by step instructions i would be very happy.
