Should I shoot myself in the face?
 

Hey guys...

So, because I'm a sucker for new electronics, I sold my V9 PS2 modded with a Magic V and bought a new PSTwo, awaiting a mod chip for it.

So far, I've read pretty much nothing but BAD NEWS. This seriously p***es me off. I'm having problems finding a V9-10 anywhere, as I was thinking of going back to that, and getting a Matrix chip.

What's your opinion boys? Do I just say screw it and sell the POS and try finding a V9-10, or hang on and wait, possibly waiting too long and wanting to shoot myself in the face, as I mentioned above. I haven't had ANY real problems with mine so far. It just sucks.

Any help/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Well if it was me I would paint it blue and sell but then that's just me. Sweet blue paint job + christmas comming up=$$$$$$ :D

No just hold out, the PSTwo is going to be the standard for the PS2 scene until the PS3, so a solution will be found, in fact have a look at this.

Its just a crap console, Even the unmodded consoles are dieing. People all over the net are doing this fix and consoles are still going down. Right now it seems to be hit and miss. Some lasers refuse to spin up after the diode install, some blow the lasers on power up yet some claim to have it working for now. Damn Sony for selling us this piece of crap to start with :mad:

I'd almost bought a slimee myself..
It's a drag the population of the world has to do beta testing after spending hard earned money.. I guess it's like everything else.. Wait until its been perfected to throw your money into it..

I guess thats not true.. The dying laser problem lasted the lifespan of the original PS2.. minus the V7s maybe.

But anyway to the guys that did buy one, my sympathies and thanks at the same time.
