i am looking for a new game that plays like[ diablo 2], that is a good shooter game that i can play with my other half in cooperative on lan :rolleyes: .we love playing diablo lod. is there another game as good as that out there ?????????

try Sacred.

i think there is a demo of it available.

I am not sure what the definition of shooter is, but in my book it's either some scrolling shoot-em-up or some kinda First/Third Person Shooter.
Sacred is like Diablo2. Some say even better.
If you are looking for a shooter that plays like diablo and has coop, there is Serious Sam 1 & 2. (It is an actual shooter .. with guns.. etc)

Yes yes i would have to agree with 'tbaher' 100%! Serious Sam 1 & 2 are excellent funny games to play with each other. Plenty of action and lots of secrets to be found. And they multiplay very well. Good choice tbaher. ;)
P.S: Ive never actually played Diabla or Sacred but are they similiar to Serious Sams style of play? If so I will have to purchase them or aleast download a Demo!

Diablo and Sacred are very different in their style. They are more serious, and more importantly they are not a First Person Shooter. They are Action-RPGs, which basically means there's a lot of action (clicking), but there's RPG elements too (leveling up, stats, armor). What drives me in serious sam is to kick butt (shooting at things), but diablo is more about getting treasure and items (greed).
They are both fun in multiplayer, but in different ways.
Action-RPGs have a little bit more strategy to them in multiplayer, since you assume different roles (classes) and each has its strengths and weaknesses.
The skills are also different, in serious sam being a good shot and dodging matters. In diablo it's more like "click click click" so there's not a lot of skill involved, although in diablo2 and sacred, some strategic thinking helps.
I guess you gotta try a demo of Diablo 2 or Sacred to see what I mean.

just wanted to thank all of you who answered my thread. i have serious sam 1 and 2 and yes they are great first shooter games with out standing graphics as far as sacred i had never heard of it but i checked it out and it looks like it could be one just like diablo..but its not out yet. iwill check it out a little more but it sounds real good...

i checked out the game scared and got a lot of mixed reviews..some good but the bad ones said it had a lot of bugs in it and the patches made more bugs. were cane i go to get the nitty gritty on this game..

it is/was full of bugs.. but they were patching it almost every other week, to the point where people were asking about it nonstop in the PC Games forum. (it was one of the games that had a stickie official thread)
so it's mega-patched right now to the point of them making a huge free expansion or something.
