D'OH hd ??????
 

i saw that in info thread about hd seannyb said he used a 6gb hd ????? i was hopeing to use a 8gb hd just for gta san andreas have a samsung 8gb but when i insert the hd loader disc it comes up hd loader then stays like it any ideas just dont want to buy a bigger hd at the moment as am buying home boo hoo skint for 30 years btw my other hd is 120gb (full)

You would probably have to format it some other way.

was in old pc so have formated hd 8.3 gig so theres now 8.3 free space and hd loader still does the same !!!!! arrrggghhh is it the samsung hd (compatable) coz when i put the disc in without the hd is says no hd found !!!!! HELP ITS DOIN MY HEAD IN

Look on google for PS2 HD FORMAT UTIL'S. Their are some utils made just for the ps2 hard drives, so you can format them, and if i remember correctly on the compatible list theirs a 8gb hdd..

if your ps2 is modded, try to format the hdd with dms format tool and if your ps2 is not modded, put the hdd in pc and format it with winhiip.
if hdloader still freezes on splash screen, try to eject the hdloader disk when the splash screen appears.

Too bad spratster. I'm still waiting on paint for your union jack case. Anyone else across the pond that wants a union jack case pm me and we'll work something out. :D

No pics yet. You may have saw the blue ps2 I did a few weeks ago. Now I gotta wait for paint to arrive. Current projects are Superman deck (my v1 that's still workin) and spidey deck(v4). I do have a pic of spidey in progress. Tyler D. saw it. Send me your email address.

Format the HDD with the DMS Format Tool. Also, ensure your drive is set as a MASTER - otherwise it just isn't going to work no matter what :)

have formatted hd in pc already totaly clean ,, still cant get head around the dms3 hd formatt tools ???? :( yo cheryl am moveing house at the mo and everything is packed except pc and ps2 ;) as soon as moved will send you light gun :D

It needs formatting for the PS2 - and if HDLoader won't do it, then this will ;)

do i burn elf file or what coz formated on other pc which is a bag of poo or will i have to put in other bay in pc on spare ide

Burn it in Mode2/XA and boot up in PS2 :)

have tried 3 times now to burn n boot hd formatt in mode 2 /xa keeps on giving read errors boo hoo startin to get pissed off now lol tried to boot on ps2 in all modes also HELP b4 i start throwing it about ;)
