Matrix Infinity installers please read this
Further to my prob with an install into a v5 PS2, (see thread here)
http://www.fileforums.com/showthread.php?t=65481 It turns out that I'd been supplied with the Homebrew version of the chip, it's the same chip but it just doesn't come preflashed. Instructions for flashing the chip are here http://www.infinitymod.com/cgi-bin/m..._instructionhb If your Infinity installation doesn't work, try the procedure before you start resoldering etc. as it could just be that you've been supplied with a Homebrew. It could save you a lot of wasted time and effort. Regards, Col |
Thanks for the info. This will be temporarily stuck.

Yeah, I had one of those.
A few tips: 1. They look no different from the original Infinity chips - the only way to tell is when you fire the console up. 2. The upgrade disc can be a little b****** to get to work properly. I burned successfully with Nero 6 - just double check the write mode is set to Mode2/XA  - it lost me three days install, and three installs... |
is there a flash available for it to play backed up games?
|
Yeah. Just download the normal flash you would for a standard Infinity, burn to disc and follow the instructions on flashing to a full Infinity in the link below :)
