rid**** hdd prob
 

hi
i cant get rid**** to play from my hdd . i used dvd2xbox to copy it but when i try to play i get the message " this game can only be played form the orignal disc".
this i find strange since i made a perfect back-up on dvd.
im using evox m8 06 bios . and the pal version of the game
i would greatly appreciate any help.

if its US then u needa x2 bios

He's gotta pal version of the game AX.. So probably not US. There may be a patch somewhere out there.

its always possible to have a pal version of a game and a us box, or vice-versa...
but u should get the x2 4981 bios

Wasn't even aware US boxes could play PAL games.. What use are the PAL to NTSC patches? What function are they serving..?

uh they dont have patches
if u have a more recent type of x2 bios u can play em
they do however have a mode switcher dealy (also inside the slayers cd)
that allows u to switch the type of ur xbox if needed
and
i still suggest getting that bios since if u would
then u wouldnt have to search for like any patches...
few exceptions

I've been really misinformed.. Or read something completely wrong.. I don't know where I picked it up but I kept seeing "Pal to Ntsc" left and right. Or thought I did at least..

chips make the xbox region free. If you cannot play pal games, it is because your tv's doesn't support it. THe only tv that I have that won't play pal is really old, like over 12 years. I only get sound with that one :(
