V12 Laser issues

I've heard from a source of mine stating that these V12's suffer from laser burnouts with the infinity chip He said that within a week or so, a solution maybe found.

Anyone have more or clearer info on this?

Thanks!!

it seems the v12 have even cheaper lasers than the v9,v10. I got one(Not modded) last week and its stopped reading original discs

Wow really. I knew the modded PSTwo's where starting to turn up dead, and had heard rumor of unmodded v12's dyeing, but until now thats all I thought it was. Damn Sony anyway! why cant they just make s f'en good laser!

We arent modding PSTwo's until this issue is resolved or a good solution arises. We may experiment with our own V12 soon though.

Lucky for warranty. Anyway the games that killed it where GTA: SA and Metal Gear Solid DL version(keep for getting the name)

I guess i might just leave it in it's box until some solution is found. Stick with me old V4 for now :p

I bought me two v10 PS2's before they were all gone :) . I dont think i am going to even fool with modding the PStwo's. Hopefully these two v10's will last me until the PS3 launches. Then again if sony keeps up its current trend of using the sorriest parts made by man i may just stick to Xbox2.

Here here Warlock. PSTwo suck (but wasn't it obvious they would after the way Sony have built their consoles after the V7?)
